Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Prior experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and student goal setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and other team members
- Ability to develop and implement creative, individualized therapy plans for diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students functional abilities related to learning and classroom participation
- Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and adaptive skills
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering professional recommendations and progress updates
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services within a variety of educational environments
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of services, progress, and ongoing therapy needs
- Provide resources, strategies, and training to teachers and caregivers for classroom success
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure inclusive support for every student
