Qualifications & Experience:

• Active New Mexico occupational therapist license required
• Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable working with children and adolescents across elementary, middle, and high school levels
• Solid understanding of IEP processes, assessments, and therapeutic interventions
• Strong communication skillsable to collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and fellow professionals
• Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and modify strategies for optimal outcomes

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and needs related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional daily activities
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to support students' participation in school routines and classroom activities
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing OT insights and recommendations to IEP teams
• Provide direct therapy sessions individually or in small groups, using evidence-based practices
• Maintain thorough documentation to ensure compliance with educational and state requirements
• Educate and collaborate with staff and families on strategies to generalize OT objectives in daily routines
