Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services in a vibrant educational environment for the upcoming academic year. This role offers impactful work supporting mostly elementary-age students, with details of the specific school site to be determined.
Youll collaborate with educators and families to develop and implement individualized interventions, helping students thrive both academically and personally. The assignment runs approximately from August 6, 2026, to May 26, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 35-40 hours.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience in school-based OT preferred
- Working knowledge of Medicaid billing processes is helpful
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying caseload sizes and needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students, predominantly at the elementary level, in accordance with IEPs and district guidelines
- Conduct assessments to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Maintain clear documentation for Medicaid billing and compliance requirements
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school teams, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert input and recommendations
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet a diverse range of student goals
