Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license (OT) in the state of Connecticut, or eligibility for licensure
- Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably within a school or pediatric setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, assessments, and documentation standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
- Ability to manage time efficiently and adapt to diverse caseloads
- Familiarity with sensory integration, fine and gross motor interventions, and evidence-based therapy strategies
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students to enhance participation and performance in daily school activities
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in students IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement classroom modifications or interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and required reporting for compliance
- Educate and support teachers, staff, and families to promote student success and independence
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and ongoing communication with stakeholders
