Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven background in pediatric occupational therapy within school-based settings
  • Expertise working with students in Grades Pre-K through 8th grade
  • Solid understanding of both fine and gross motor interventions
  • Awareness of the unique challenges faced by early childhood and elementary students
  • Skills in developing and implementing effective, individualized treatment plans
  • Exceptional communication abilities for partnership with teachers, parents, and administration
  • Current, valid licensure or eligibility to practice occupational therapy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of students referred for occupational therapy services
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans to support academic and functional success
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapy goals with classroom objectives
  • Document progress, write reports, and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Provide direct therapy services as well as consultation with educators and family members
  • Empower students to achieve greater independence within the school environment
