As a vital member of a collaborative team, youll deliver in-person therapy services, tailoring interventions for a diverse caseload. Your expertise enables you to assess student needs, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and partner closely with educators and families, ensuring each childs unique needs are met with compassion and evidence-based solutions.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (MI OT license required)
- Previous professional experience in a school setting
- Strong skills in occupational health and relevant therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments as needed
- Develop and deliver individualized intervention strategies focused on academic and functional goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
- Consult and communicate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date records in compliance with school and state guidelines
