Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting early childhood students as an onsite Occupational Therapist in the Belvidere, IL area. This contract role spans from March 16, 2027, to May 21, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Working directly with a dedicated caseload of young learners, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve key developmental milestones and increase their independence in a school setting.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Understanding of IEP development and early childhood intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educational teams, students, and families
• Familiarity with state or district-specific documentation and compliance (district may require additional certifications or experience based on directors request)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct OT services for early childhood students
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state requirements
• Offer creative, evidence-based interventions tailored to individual student needs
• Regularly communicate progress and adapt strategies to best support student success
