Job Description

As an Occupational Therapist on a contract assignment, youll work collaboratively with educators and families to empower students, enhance their skills, and help them reach their fullest potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Occupational Therapist license
  • Previous experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to tailor interventions to students individual needs and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate and timely documentation

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for occupational therapy services
  • Develop and implement therapies and intervention plans in coordination with teachers and support staff
  • Document student progress and maintain required records
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide consultative support to families and educators
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Educate staff and students on strategies and tools that support students participation in school activities
