Key Qualifications:

• Active New Mexico Occupational Therapist license (required)
• Background working in school-based settings is highly desirable
• Comfortable adapting strategies for a range of developmental stages, from early elementary through high school
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with educators, families, and support staff
• Adept at planning and implementing individualized interventions and therapy plans

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students, identifying areas of need
• Develop, implement, and document individualized education program (IEP) goals and interventions
• Support student participation in classroom routines and school activities through environmental modifications and skill development
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Deliver direct and consultative services, ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements
• Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings as a trusted resource
