This school-based role is designed for a licensed Occupational Therapist eager to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and foster the growth of TK12th grade students. With a diverse caseload of approximately 55 students and responsibilities across multiple school sites, youll continually build your practice and expand your skills in the supportive atmosphere of a well-structured school schedule.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and current California Occupational Therapy license is a must
- Solid background in school-based OT, with experience serving a range of student needs from transitional kindergarten through high school
- Proficiency participating in and leading IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings
- Comfort with SEIS and digital documentation platforms strongly preferred
- Able to manage time efficiently while providing excellent student-centered care across sites
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to students, aligned with their IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with educational staff, families, and related service providers to develop and implement student plans
- Attend, participate in, and contribute to IEP meetings as an OT expert
- Accurately document therapy sessions, progress notes, and maintain up-to-date compliance records
- Adapt strategies and interventions to foster access, participation, and functional achievement in a school setting
This is a contract position beginning August 6, 2026, through February 12, 2027, with the potential for extension. Work exclusively onsite in a collaborative environment, with flexible scheduling possible.
