A school located in Beaumont, California is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time contract role. This position requires providing occupational therapy services within a school setting, delivering direct support to students to enhance their functional abilities and participation in educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions in the school environment to support motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams to monitor progress and ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory and school district requirements.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders regarding student progress and therapy goals.
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy services preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric therapy techniques and educational support systems.
- Familiarity with teletherapy services considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
