This opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a school setting in Beaumont, CA. The role involves delivering high-quality OT services, conducting assessments, and collaborating on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student development and success. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week contract position requiring an active California Occupational Therapist license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective occupational therapy services to students in a school environment
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and progress
- Develop and collaborate on IEP goals and documentation
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support individualized student plans
- Provide recommendations to enhance classroom accessibility and student engagement
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license is required
- Experience providing occupational therapy services within schools
- Familiarity with COTA roles and the school healthcare environment is beneficial
- Strong understanding of assessment techniques and IEP processes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams
