Make an impact by supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist for the upcoming school year, providing essential therapy services and collaborating with educators and families. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and eligibility to work in Illinois
- Previous experience in at least one of the following: schools, home health, healthcare, teletherapy, or pediatric settings
- Ability to adapt to both in-person and virtual service delivery
- Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to manage time efficiently across multiple assignments
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students in alignment with their IEPs
- Utilize the district IEP system (training provided) for documentation and reporting
- Travel between assigned school locations as needed; mileage is reimbursed
- Assess student needs and develop personalized intervention plans
- Work with a diverse caseload, adjusting techniques to support student success
- Participate in team meetings and consult with district staff and families
- Maintain accurate treatment records and comply with district procedures and timelines
