Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid state licensure to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Prior experience working within educational settings is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school personnel
  • Ability to design and implement effective individualized intervention plans
  • Familiarity with assistive devices and sensory integration strategies

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students needs and develop targeted intervention goals
  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group formats
  • Collaborate with teachers, school counselors, and other related service professionals to support student success
  • Document student progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute insights regarding student therapies and accommodations
  • Provide guidance and resources to families and educators regarding strategies to enhance student participation and independence within the educational environment
