Desired Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Illinois
- Experience working with school-aged children is preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized care for diverse learners
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation in multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of students abilities and needs within the school setting
- Develop and implement targeted interventions and strategies to support academic participation and life skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate occupational therapy goals into the classroom
- Provide direct and consultative OT services in accordance with students IEPs
- Maintain comprehensive records and monitor student progress
- Offer guidance and professional development for staff regarding sensory processing, fine motor skills, and adaptive strategies
