Embrace a unique opportunity to practice as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting near Aurora, IL. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 25, 2027, giving you the chance to make a real impact over several academic years. You'll support four distinct school environmentstwo elementary schools, one middle school, and one high schoolserving a varied student population and gaining invaluable experience across age groups and educational stages.
In this position, managing your caseload is measured by minutes (8,000-9,000 per quarter), allowing for meaningful, focused interventions rather than a fixed student count. Youll work 35 hours per week, enjoying structured days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (please provide your license number with your application)
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred, though not required
- Comfort and enthusiasm for working in-person across multiple sites
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility in serving a diverse caseload
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to support student IEPs
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapeutic interventions into the classroom
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district requirements
