This contract opportunity offers the chance to work 32.5 hours per week for the entire 20262027 academic year, helping children and adolescents achieve their fullest potential through occupational therapy services.
Your expertise will provide students with tailored interventions and promote their development, independence, and participation in educational activities. Located near the Aurora, IL area, this role is well-suited for compassionate, dedicated professionals committed to making a lasting impact in school communities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Illinois
- Previous experience in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student development
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary student support teams
- Promote adaptive strategies to enhance students learning experiences and daily functioning
