Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current and valid Occupational Therapist license
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement customized interventions and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Organizational skills and adaptability for a dynamic caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs
  • Assess and document students abilities through evaluations, observations, and team input
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that align with IEP goals
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education teams, and families to support student access to the curriculum and school participation
  • Track progress, maintain detailed records, and provide regular updates to appropriate stakeholders
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and support ongoing student evaluations
  • Contribute to the development of adaptive strategies and recommend necessary equipment to optimize learning environments
