A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for a skilled Occupational Therapist eager to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment near Auburn, KS. This position begins in early August 2026 and runs through late May 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35-40 hours. Serving a diverse elementary caseload, you'll play a central role in fostering student independence and success throughout the academic year.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license required
- Current CPR certification mandatory
- Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing practices is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt and work with varied caseloads and grade levels, predominantly elementary
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
What Youll Do:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students requiring OT services
- Deliver direct therapy within school settings, addressing fine motor skills, sensory needs, and functional participation in academic activities
- Maintain accurate documentation, including participation in Medicaid billing processes
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Support students across grades, with a primary focus on elementary
