Job Description

In this position, youll work 32.5 hours per week and manage a manageable caseload of 38 students, providing direct intervention and consultation as part of a dedicated school-based team. Your work will help students build the crucial skills they need for academic achievement and daily living.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) License required
  • Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of supporting students in general education and specialized instructional program (SIP) environments
  • Familiarity with district or state-specific requirements, such as an Illinois PEL, is a plus
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services consistent with IEP goals and student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Adapt therapeutic approaches to best serve a range of student abilities
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and consultation with staff
