Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a vibrant educational setting near Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time role offers you the chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school sites, supporting students in elementary, middle, and high school as they develop essential skills for academic and daily success. Starting August 27, 2026, and extending through June 9, 2027, youll play a vital role in enhancing student outcomes across a diverse caseload that spans Pre-K through age 22.
What were seeking:
- Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to thrive in an itinerant role, serving multiple sites and age groups
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to following all required credentialing, including timely completion of fingerprinting
Core responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with a range of needs
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs to help each student reach their goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Support students functional independence in both classroom and daily life activities
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Adapt services for diverse educational environments and student populations
This is an on-site only position, offering a consistent full-time schedule of 3537.5 hours a week. You will gain valuable experience while making a positive difference in the lives of students and families.
