Embark on a rewarding opportunity working as a school-based Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational setting near Arlington Heights, IL. This full-time contract position covers a leave of absence from August through November, with a consistent schedule of 32.5 hours each week. Engage with students from early childhood through 5th grade, using your expertise to foster independence, participation, and success in a collaborative school community.
What were seeking:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings
- Familiarity with early childhood and elementary populations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Flexible and adaptable to the school environment
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering direct and consultative therapy to students across early childhood to 5th grade
- Conducting evaluations, writing reports, and documenting progress in line with educational requirements
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student growth and achievement
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to goal development
- Maintaining regular communication with faculty and families to support carryover of therapy initiatives
- Staying current with best practices and legal regulations within school-based occupational therapy
