Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Illinois
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred, especially with therapeutic day schools
- Strong communication abilities for collaboration with educators, parents, and other therapists
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Assess student needs, create and implement effective therapy plans, and regularly evaluate progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into daily classroom routines
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reports as required by school and regulatory standards
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary meetings, providing expertise and insight for student success
