Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students growth as an Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. This opportunity focuses on Extended School Year (ESY) services from June 15th to July 17th, providing specialized support in a school environment near Arlington Heights, IL. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience or interest working with K-12 student populations in schools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Innovative, flexible, and committed to fostering student growth and achievement
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students functional skills and needs in areas such as fine motor coordination, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to help students reach their unique goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate occupational therapy strategies into daily routines
- Track progress, complete documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Provide direct interventions and support during ESY, ensuring continuity of care for diverse learners
