With five openings available, youll play a crucial role in empowering K-12 students near Arlington Heights, Highland Park, and Northbrook, IL. This full-time position (35 hours per week) offers the chance to work onsite, collaborating closely with educators and families to help each child reach their potential.
What Were Looking For:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but not required
- Ability to manage a diverse K-12 caseload with professionalism and compassion
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students across various grade levels
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to implement therapy strategies in the classroom
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
- Adapt interventions to accommodate students with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in compliance with state guidelines
