Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license with demonstrated school-based experience
- Previous success supporting students with complex educational needs
- Ability to navigate school schedules, adjust to assignment lengths, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
- Must complete thorough onboarding and a background check through the agency and district
- Standing in good credentialed status, especially if previously placed through similar roles
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students identified for Setting IV special education
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other support staff to develop and implement IEP goals
- Document progress, attend meetings, and contribute to an inclusive school environment
- Adapt therapy plans to student progress and evolving needs
- Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, district guidelines, and ethical standards
