Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Alaska (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

  • Strong collaborative skills working alongside teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students IEPs
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assess students functional abilities, sensory processing, and motor skills within the school environment
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students educational and therapeutic needs
  • Maintain accurate and timely records, documentation, and progress reports
  • Offer guidance and support to classroom staff for implementing therapy-related strategies and accommodations
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
