Qualifications:

• Current Occupational Therapy license (state-specific for Alaska or eligibility to obtain)
• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations preferred
• Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and adaptability
• Ability to conduct evaluations and interpret data to create effective intervention plans
• Knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
• Familiarity with a variety of disabilities and therapeutic interventions

Responsibilities:

• Assess students to determine functional abilities related to learning and daily living
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, other service providers, and families
• Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in a school-based setting
• Advocate for students needs and provide training/support to school staff
