Qualifications and Experience:
- Current California Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) required.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation.
- Ability to assess and address students fine motor, sensory, and functional needs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families.
- Compassionate approach and commitment to fostering inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver therapy sessions to students individually and in small groups.
- Work with teachers to create supportive classroom strategies and adaptations.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insight on students' needs and progress.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required by guidelines.
- Support students in developing skills for greater independence and academic participation.
