This full-time Occupational Therapist contract position is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with a variety of behavioral and physical needs. Assignments are available at multiple nearby locations, including Orchard, Oakridge, and Ravenna, in cooperation with Fruitport Community Schools. The position begins at the start of the school year and continues through Thanksgiving break during the 2026-2027 school year.

Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan Occupational Therapist license (required)
• Previous experience working within K-12 educational settings desirable
• Knowledge of best practices for managing diverse disabilities and behavioral needs
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Organized, flexible, and committed to fostering student independence
• Capable of working independently, as no supervision will be provided

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized occupational therapy goals and plans
• Implement direct therapy interventions for students with various needs
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education staff to support student participation and achievement
• Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and accommodations in the classroom
• Document student progress, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
• Empower students to improve their daily functional skills in the school environment

This contract role offers a consistent Monday through Friday, full-time schedule, providing the structure and stability you need to focus on student development throughout the school semester.
