Job Description

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in Albuquerque, NM, supporting a diverse student population across multiple school settings. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized OT services within an educational environment, working directly with elementary and high school students, as well as supporting an Autism-based district program.

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Caseload Overview:

  • Itinerant services across two elementary schools with approximately 11-12 students per school
  • High school caseload of 17-18 students
  • Support for an off-campus Autism program
  • Delivery of both direct therapy and indirect services including teacher consultations

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license
  • Experience providing school-based OT services preferred
  • Ability to manage itinerant caseload effectively
  • Familiarity with Autism spectrum disorder interventions in educational settings
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators and support staff

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs
  • Provide indirect services through consultation and collaboration with teachers and school personnel
  • Maintain compliance with educational and therapeutic regulations
  • Document and track student progress accurately
  • Support students within multiple school environments, including an Autism program outside the traditional campus
