Job Description

Step into a dynamic in-person role supporting students growth and development across various grade levels. This is a full-time, contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload of about 30 students, mainly in elementary school, with some in middle and high school. The position offers consistent hours at 37.5 per week and the chance to make a lasting difference in a school community.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist, eligible to practice in New Mexico
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet individual student needs across elementary, middle, and high school settings
  • Excellent organizational skills for documentation and managing caseload responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services tailored to students IEP goals within school settings
  • Assess, plan, and implement therapy programs, focusing primarily on elementary but also involving some middle and high school students
  • Work closely with educational teams to develop strategies that support students participation in academic and daily school activities
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, attend meetings, and contribute to the IEP process
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff to share progress and recommendations
