Key Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan Occupational Therapy license required (must provide documentation upon request)
  • Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy preferred
  • Familiarity with K-12 student populations and IEP processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with educational teams
  • Reliable organization and documentation skills
  • Commitment to supporting student engagement and participation in school activities

Role Overview:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services for students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Support a maternity leave assignment (Nov 5thmid-February) and/or a broader school year opening (Aug 24thJune 11th, 2027)
  • Manage a caseload of school-aged students, addressing fine and gross motor skills, self-care, and sensory needs
  • Work 4 days per week (3 onsite, 1 remote), up to 30 hours weekly
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and educational staff to implement therapy and ensure student progress
  • Maintain timely and accurate notes, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
