Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility to obtain) for occupational therapy practice
- Experience providing OT services in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students functional abilities and needs related to school participation
- Develop targeted intervention strategies to support fine motor, self-help, sensory processing, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with educators and other multidisciplinary team members to support integrated classroom participation
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing expert input on student goals and progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, interventions, and outcomes
- Guide teachers and families in implementing accommodations and strategies in the school environment
