Your knowledge of school-based occupational therapy will be essential as you evaluate, plan, and implement individualized intervention strategies for a diverse caseload covering grades K-12. Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Michigan Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Experience or strong interest in working with children and adolescents within a school environment
- Ability to develop and carry out targeted therapy plans for a variety of needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with school staff, students, and families
- Adaptable to changing priorities and able to organize time effectively in a busy school setting
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and create customized intervention plans
- Deliver onsite occupational therapy services for a full-time K-12 caseload
- Document evaluations, session notes, progress reports, and communicate results with multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to IEP meetings, goal-setting, and periodic reviews
- Provide consultation, training, and support for teachers and family members to enhance student participation in all activities
