Support students in reaching their fullest potential as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational environment. In this rewarding contract position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide essential therapy services across a diverse range of age groups, from Pre-K through high school.
Your expertise will help students develop the foundational skills needed for classroom and daily success, whether they're beginning their educational journey in early childhood or preparing for life beyond graduation. You'll work with enthusiastic educators and supportive staff, making a meaningful impact every day.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active OT license in Washington or eligibility for licensure
- Experience in a school-setting is valued, especially working with Pre-K, elementary, middle, or high school students
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and related intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with students, families, and staff
- Ability to create and adapt individualized treatment plans for various age groups and needs
- Familiarity with IEP writing and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students developmental and functional needs
- Develop and implement individualized interventions to enhance student participation and access in the school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to support student goals
- Provide direct therapy services in both group and individual formats
- Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation of services and progress
- Offer staff training or classroom support to reinforce therapeutic goals
