Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Prior experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset with an ability to adapt approaches for each student
- Passion for helping children achieve academic and personal growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine students needs
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Document progress, maintain records, and communicate results with educational teams and families
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to modify classroom materials and routines
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional insights
