What We're Looking For:
- Valid Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) License
- Current Texas Certification
- Experience working with school-age students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide orientation and mobility instruction to two students requiring minimal weekly services
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans targeting safe, effective travel skills
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Offer guidance and resources regarding adaptive techniques and mobility tools
