Key Qualifications:

• Current Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist license for Massachusetts
• Proven professional experience working in school environments with diverse student populations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators and families
• Hands-on experience designing and adapting orientation and mobility plans for students with varied needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction in orientation and mobility to K-12 students, promoting independent navigation and safety skills
• Assess individual student abilities and develop customized learning plans
• Consult and coordinate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate O&M strategies into students educational programs
• Maintain accurate records, track student progress, and participate in meetings and IEP planning
