Take your expertise as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to the next level in a rewarding contract serving visually impaired students from elementary through high school. This onsite role covers multiple campuses within a vibrant and supportive public school environment. Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) through the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)
• Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) teaching certification
• Experience supporting visually impaired (VI) students in educational settings, ideally across ages and grade levels
• Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and travel between different school sites
• Strong collaborative skills working with multidisciplinary teams and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized O&M instruction to VI students in grades 2 through high school across multiple school sites
• Conduct assessments and develop strategies aligned to IEP goals
• Create and manage your own schedule to best accommodate students instructional times and programming
• Provide direct onsite services (no remote or virtual options) tailored to each students unique needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to support student independence and safety
• Maintain detailed documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as required
