Key Qualifications:

• Current Virginia Orientation & Mobility Certification required
• Experience working with children and students across K-12 settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility to support multiple schools as needed
• Passion for fostering independence and accessibility for students with visual impairments
• Ability to adapt quickly and collaborate effectively with fellow educators

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individual orientation and mobility plans for students with visual impairments
• Provide direct instruction to students in cane skills, navigation, and independent travel within school and community environments
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate orientation and mobility goals into educational programs
• Travel between assigned schools to serve students as needed
• Maintain thorough documentation and communicate student progress to all stakeholders
• Attend district meetings and participate in professional development when appropriate

Work Details & Benefits:
