Job Description

A remote, school-based role is available for a skilled Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist with bilingual Spanish proficiency to serve K-12 students in Texas. This contract position offers flexibility with full or part-time hours, working five days per week during the school year.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Orientation and Mobility License required
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred
  • Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators and families

Location:

  • Remote work supporting students based in Texas, specifically serving the Pharr area

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop individualized orientation and mobility plans tailored to students needs
  • Provide direct instruction and support to help students safely and independently navigate their environments
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate mobility strategies into daily routines
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports in accordance with school guidelines
  • Utilize technology and remote tools effectively to deliver engaging virtual sessions
