Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Valid Orientation and Mobility (O&M) license required
  • Experience supporting students with diverse visual impairments preferred

  • Attention to safety, assessment, and documentation best practices

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized orientation and mobility instruction to students on your caseload, facilitating their independence and travel skills
  • Design and execute lesson plans tailored to each students goals, progress, and environment
  • Assess and monitor student growth, adjusting approaches as needed
  • Maintain detailed, timely progress notes and collaborate with case managers or service coordinators
  • Conduct sessions at a library or other community locations to best serve students learning needs
