Make a significant impact in the lives of K-12 students as a dedicated Orientation & Mobility Specialist. This on-site contract role is based in the Oviedo and Sanford areas near Orlando, FL, and welcomes travel professionals seeking an opportunity to provide essential compensatory services, direct therapy, and evaluations as needed. The assignment runs August 10, 2026, through May 25, 2027, with a stable schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Candidates will be interviewed on April 27, 2026, and multiple positions are available.
Qualifications and Experience:
- National Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Licensure
- Vision Certification is a must for this position
- Previous experience with K-12 caseloads strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to provide required documents, including a physical professional license, social security card, and I9 completion
- Must complete Form 1403 Fingerprinting (Contracted Services), submit a receipt from an official Field Print location, and complete demographic forms
- Comfort with conducting evaluations and providing direct therapy across diverse ages and needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct compensatory orientation and mobility services to students (K-12)
- Conduct evaluations as needed within assigned schools
- Travel between campus sites as assigned
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of student progress and service delivery
- Collaborate effectively with school staff, families, and other professionals to support each students learning and development
