A full-time Orientation and Mobility Specialist position is available in Naperville, IL, at a year-round school serving K-12 students. This permanent contract role offers the opportunity to work Monday through Friday, supporting students with visual impairments by providing specialized orientation and mobility instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop individualized orientation and mobility plans for students across all grade levels (K-12)
• Teach skills to promote safe and independent travel in school and community settings
• Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support students learning and mobility goals
• Conduct ongoing evaluations and adapt strategies to meet student needs
• Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with school policies

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Orientation and Mobility required
• Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) credentials preferred
• Experience working with K-12 students with visual impairments
• Strong knowledge of mobility aids, assistive technology, and instructional techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Position located in Naperville, Illinois
• Full-time, Monday through Friday

Compensation:

• Salary range: $90,000 - $105,000
