A remote, contract opportunity is available for a bilingual (Spanish) Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist to support K-12 students in Texas. This position offers full- or part-time hours, serving a diverse student population across all grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Texas Orientation and Mobility License
- Bilingual Spanish proficiency is preferred to effectively communicate with students and families
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting, particularly in mobility and orientation services, is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
- Provide remote assessment and training to help visually impaired students navigate their environments confidently and safely
- Develop and implement individualized orientation and mobility plans tailored to each students needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student success and inclusion
- Maintain detailed documentation of services and progress in compliance with state and local guidelines
