Bring your expertise as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to a rewarding contract position in Greene and Washington Counties, supporting K-12 students across several school districts. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to have a real impact on the independence and success of students with visual impairments by providing essential O&M services throughout the school year, through June 16, 2026.

What You'll Bring:

  • Active Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) license
  • Experience working with students across K12 settings
  • Ability and willingness to travel between various district sites as needed
  • Strong collaboration skills for working alongside educators, support staff, and families
  • Adaptability and resourcefulness in diverse school environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive O&M assessments for students with visual impairments
  • Develop and implement individualized O&M instructional plans in collaboration with IEP teams
  • Teach safe, effective travel skills to ensure student autonomy in school and community settings
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting support as necessary for each learner
  • Offer ongoing consultation to teachers and staff to promote accessibility and integration
  • Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with local and state regulations
