A school-based Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) role is available at a full-time capacity for the 2025/2026 school year, located in Andover, MA. This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide orientation and mobility instruction to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized mobility plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to facilitate effective learning environments.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as required.
Qualifications:
- Possession of an active Orientation and Mobility Specialist license valid in Massachusetts.
- Experience working with school-age children across a broad age spectrum.
- Commitment to delivering services onsite to ensure hands-on support.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a school setting.
Location: This position is based onsite in Andover, MA, serving students within the local school district.
