Job Description

A school is seeking a skilled Orientation and Mobility Specialist to provide full-time support during the 2025/2026 school year in Andover, MA. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver orientation and mobility training to students with visual impairments or other disabilities, helping them navigate school and community environments safely and independently.
  • Develop individualized plans tailored to students' unique needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain detailed records and comply with relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Active Orientation and Mobility License in Massachusetts, demonstrating professional certification and specialization.
  • Experience working with K-12 students across various developmental stages.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with school staff and families.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time during school hours in Andover, MA.

Schedule and Location:

  • Full-time contract position for the 2025/2026 school year.
  • Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM (37.5 hours per week).
  • Onsite work required at the school in Andover, Massachusetts.
