A school is seeking a skilled Orientation and Mobility Specialist to provide full-time support during the 2025/2026 school year in Andover, MA. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver orientation and mobility training to students with visual impairments or other disabilities, helping them navigate school and community environments safely and independently.
- Develop individualized plans tailored to students' unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain detailed records and comply with relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
- Active Orientation and Mobility License in Massachusetts, demonstrating professional certification and specialization.
- Experience working with K-12 students across various developmental stages.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with school staff and families.
- Ability to work onsite full-time during school hours in Andover, MA.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time contract position for the 2025/2026 school year.
- Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM (37.5 hours per week).
- Onsite work required at the school in Andover, Massachusetts.
