Job Description

Make an impact by supporting students independence as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in an engaging school-based contract position near Hilliard, OH. The contract will run from August 11, 2026, through May 21, 2027, allowing you to be a part of students growth throughout the academic year.

What youll bring:

  • Active Ohio O&M Specialist certification required
  • Experience working with students of varying ages and abilities is highly valued
  • Flexibility to travel between school buildings as needed
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational teams
  • Willingness to adapt your approach based on individual student needs
  • Comfortable conducting virtual interviews via Zoom

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing students orientation and mobility needs within the school environment
  • Providing direct instruction tailored to students visual and physical abilities
  • Creating individualized plans and progress reports
  • Consulting with teachers, staff, and families regarding best practices
  • Traveling between multiple school sites, adapting schedules as needed
  • Ensuring student safety and independence while navigating the school and community settings
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of services and student progress
